MINISTRIES

We Love Children!

Welcome to our children’s ministry! At DCI, we love children and have a passion to see kids KNOW God through biblical teaching and encounters with our Father.

On your first visit to DCI, we will ask you to stop by our Welcome Center where we will obtain information about you and your children so we can best minister to each child’s needs. Once you are registered, our greeting team will assist you in finding just the right classroom for your children.

More Information

As we receive your children, in each of our classrooms, we will ensure we have an accurate cell phone number. Should we need you during the service, one of our team members will text you and ask for you come to the classroom. You will also be given a security ticket which is used to ensure your child is safe and secure and cannot be picked up unless you (or a person you choose to share the ticket with) comes to pick them up with this ticket. All ticket holders must be 16 years of age or older.

STAFF
For the safety of our children, DCI Children’s Ministry is restricted to authorized staff only. All staff must wear proper ID.

SPACE LIMITATIONS
God is bringing lots of new families to our house! While we try to accommodate all of our children, safety is super-important to us. On the occasion that one of our rooms have met their teacher-child-space ratio, we will ask you to allow your child to join you in the sanctuary. We are making efforts to move to a larger facility so we an accommodate all God is connecting to DCI.

Child Dedications

Child Dedications

2017 Child Dedication Date:

  • January 15
  • May 14
  • September 17
  • December 3
More Information

Parents should provide 1 photo submitted when you register. The photo should include the child only. It should be an upper body photo preferably on a solid background similar to the one in the photo the left. All photos will be formatted to this example which will be shown on our video monitors during the dedication of your child. Photos do not have to be studio portraits.

WHEN SHOULD I ARRIVE?
Please arrive at the beginning of service. Usually, children are dedicated at the beginning of our worship celebration. The leader will give directions and ask the immediate family to come stand before the church facing the stage. All family members attending are welcome to come forward for the dedication.

WHERE SHOULD WE SIT?
Reserved seating will be available for families dedicating children.  One of our associates will direct you to a reserved area near the front/side of the stage for quick & easy access.

CAN I INVITE MY EXTENDED FAMILY?
Yes. We encourage it.

WILL OTHER CHILDREN BE DEDICATED?
Possibly. There may be other children who are being dedicated on the same day. We take every opportunity to make each dedication special for the individual families. Although there may be other dedications, each child is dedicated individually.

WHAT WILL HAPPEN DURING THE DEDICATION?
One of our leaders will briefly explain the purpose and importance of dedicating our children to God. Then the leader will ask the family & extended family to join us near the front of the stage. He/she will ask to hold the child (if the child is agreeable); pray a blessing over the child; give the family a practical first child’s bible and a dedication certificate. The whole dedication lasts approximately 10-12 minutes.

SHOULD WE OR MY CHILD WEAR ANYTHING SPECIAL?
It’s totally up to you. Come in what makes you comfortable.

Our goal is to provide a team of teachers who are passionate about raising up children who know they are valued and loved by God.

We minister God’s love through play, hugs, honor, praise,
worship, prophecy, lessons, and crafts.
